Captivate records computer screen motions for easy animated tutorials and demos. If you are using a special (or not so special) software for your class and want to demonstrate how to, this is the tool to use. Screen shots with explanations are good, but Captivate brings interaction into the game. It also allows for the creation of handouts with slides for those who prefer print directions (Captivate can publish to a doc file and from there I can create a PDF).
