Education:
I graduated from the Dental Lab program a Kirkwood back in 1978.
Professional Experience: I have owned and operated my own Dental lab for 33 yrs along with working at the University of Iowa for a few years and the College of Dentistry for a year and teaching for Kirkwood 30 years ago and now.
Honors & Awards:
I am a Certified Dental Technician. I choose to work for certification in three areas: dentures, crown and bridge, and ceramic. At one time, my goal was to work to obtain my certification in all 5 areas, and I did work in all five areas at some time through the years. This is refered to as a Masters Certification. My advice to anyone interested in this: do it early in your career, before life gets you so busy that it gets put on the back burner.
