5 - 100pt Exams (1 can be thrown out)

14- Homework assignments – 10 pt each 140pt

In class work – approx. 100 pt

Materials – 2  3 ½  inch High Density floppy disks or a memory stick.

Software - This course uses the Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint 2007). You can do all of your assignments in the Kirkwood Labs. If you have the correct programs at home you can do your work there but it is your responsibility to verify that the software you use is compatible.

Student Files – Student files can be found from the lab computers by going to Drive “J” at J:\Student SHARED\DeMaria\Intro to Micros\Student Files. Find the files and copy them to your disk first. You cannot modify the files on the “J” drive.

Attendance – Attendance is very important to your success as a student. Points covered during lecture will show up on the exams. It is your responsibility to keep up with the class work if you must be absent. If you miss a quiz you MUST make up that quiz before the next class. No Exceptions! Homework assignments are due at the start of class. Late assignments will receive fewer points. When a section is finished all assignments from that section must be turned in or they will not receive any points.

Plagiarism – The school policy on cheating and behavior is in the Student Handbook. Familiarize yourself with the rules so there will be no surprises. There is a fine line between working together copying. Even if you work together you must strive to put your own unique input into every assignment.
