Course Description – Familiarizes the student with the current operating systems available for the microcomputer environment.

Grading – A>94%, A- >90%, B+>87%, B>84%, B->80%, C+>77%, C>74%, etc. based on

4 - 100pt Exams
2 – Research Projects 100 pt each
12 - Homework assignments – 10 pt each 120 pt
In class work – approx. 100 pt

Materials – 2 3 ½ inch High Density floppy disks. Or a memory stick

Attendance – Attendance is very important to your success as a student. Points covered during lecture will show up on the exams. It is your responsibility to keep up with the class work if you must be absent. If you miss a quiz you MUST make up that quiz before the next class. No Exceptions! Homework assignments are due at the start of class. Late assignments will receive fewer points. When a section is finished all assignments from that section must be turned in or they will not receive any points.

Plagiarism – The school policy on cheating and behavior is in the Student Handbook. Familiarize yourself with the rules so there will be no surprises. There is a fine line between working together copying. Even if you work together you must strive to put your own unique input into every assignment.
