 Upper Wall Framing
The day today let up enough for our contractor to get some work done.
He expects us to be ready for trusses next week.

We now have quite a presence facing the street.  The over all shape is becoming clearer.

A view from one corner of the house to the other.
My wife said to me "Boy are we far from the kids! We need to put that Baby Monitor up again!"
The stair hole is temporarily covered up with a sheet of plywood.

Our Living Room window is framed.  This will be the view.

They have put gravel down as a base for the patio slab below.

The step up from the garage will be a doozy!  Actually we'll probably have only a couple of steps.  The garage slab isn't poured yet.

Here's a shot of the lip put around the edge of the garage.  The slab will rest on this.

Our standard view of the back.

My wife's and my next project: the retaining wall on this side of the house.

This is a detail that my contractor does to headers.  He only needs two headers over the windows/doors so he puts them to one side.  This leaves room to add insulation.

Here the insulation is in place.
