Teaching Experience/Duties:
1. Currently teaches three levels of physics at Kirkwood
Community College in Cedar Rapids Iowa.
Introductory Physics - One semester course using beginning
algebra to cover the basic topics of mechanics, dynamics,
conservation laws, electricity/magnetism, waves, optics and atomic
physics. This 3 credit lab based course is intended to provide
students with basic science credit and prepare students for taking
higher level physics courses.
College Physics - Two semester course using algebra/trig.
to cover the basic topics mechanics, dynamics, conservation laws,
thermodynamics, electricity/magnetism, waves, optics and atomic
physics. This 4 credit lab based course is intended for
students in the pre-professional programs of medicine, dentistry,
pharmacy, education, chiropractic, biological sciences, forestry,
etc...
Classical Physics - Two semester course using calculus to
cover the basic topics mechanics, statics, dynamics, conservation
laws, thermodynamics, electricity/magnetism, waves, optics and
atomic physics. This 5 credit lab based course is
intended for students in the pre-professional programs of
engineering and physical sciences.
