Vinyl
The vinyl floors are now in and the walls are painted.
The front of the house with the garage doors. We will probably move
the windows in the door.
Once the track was set we noticed that it was too low in relation to the
door. The track will need to be raised.
Before painting we protected the vinyl underlayment with visqueen.
We didn't paint areas that will be covered by cabinets to save on paint. It
is so important to get good quality paint. The lesser paint we used
seemed to be soaked right into the wall. We used quite a bit of it.
The better quality glided on and didn't seem to soak in as much. The
contractor sprayed a first coat on the walls and we did the final two coats.
The tub was already protected by the contractor when he sprayed the first
coat.
Vinyl underlayment is in place. This is put down first to create a
smooth surface for the vinyl.
A close up of the vinyl edge.
The vinyl in place. It is left a little long for the carpet installers
to finish when they put down the carpet.
seams are glued down and protected until they are set.
Openings in the vinyl floor are carefully cut.
