 Brick
It was difficult to determine exactly what to call this page - so many things are happening at the house simultaneously!

A view from down the street.

Our brick front is finished.  The masons worked on it in a weekend.

A close up view of the wire that will connect to our doorbell chime inside.  It was difficult laying brick with so very little space between the door and window.

A view of the pipe rough-in for the toilet and sink in the bathroom.  The scorch marks on the blocking were the result of soldering the pipes.

The metal plates on the studs protect the pipes.

The back view of the plumbing rough-in for the tub.

The electrician temporarily mounts his roll of wire onto the studs.  He can then pull the wire off the roll as needed.  Once he's done, he takes the nails out holding the roll.

A view of wiring.  Over the doors will be placed smoke/carbon monoxide detectors.  By code one is required in each bedroom and in the hallway/room connecting the bedrooms.

Wire is pulled out for future light fixtures.  sometimes it is better to have too much than too little.

Here is a detail I read about: putting an outlet near the fascia.  This way we can hang Christmas lights off the fascia and not have an electrical cord running down the face of our walls.

I incorporated a shelf over the stair area.  The sloping framing is the ceiling of the stairway.

Our contractor went through and marked studs with notes such as
door sizes hinge locations, and which way it swings.  The studs
are also marked with outlet and switch box locations/heights.
