Cabinets
Much interior work has been going on!
The cabinets are being installed. Notice how the vinyl is being protected
by cardboard.
since the end of this cabinet will be visible by the Living Area, we've decided
to place false cabinet doors on it. The cabinet end now looks more
finished. It does add some cost because the doors are the most expensive
part of a cabinet but we thought it was worth it.
A vclose up of the floor outlet in the Living Area. since our furniture
layout will have the end tables and sofa in the middle of the space, we decided
to add an outlet on the floor. This type of cover protects the outlet.
The mantle is on the fireplace. It was made larger than originally
planned because the tile surround will be larger than originally planned.
The design evolves as it is being constructed.
A view of the kids' bath.
The finish stair is in place. It is now ready for carpet.
A view of the handrail.
The condensing unit and gas meter are in place. There were dimensional
requirements as to their placement. They had to have sufficient room
around them for servicing.
The back deck is completed.
A view of the stairs going down the deck.
A detail view of how the stair railing and deck railing meet. The spacing
of the balusters is determined by code.
