 Finish Work 
Most of the work being done is detail oriented.  Interior surfaces are usually protected by cardboard or mats.


The current building code requires a railing if there are more than two risers in any set of steps. Once we get the Certificate of Occupancy from the building official,  we'll be taking the railing off  so we didn't make it fancy.


The steps in the garage also get a railing.  We might keep these.


 

Our attic access is in.  I've already tried to open it.  I need a step ladder to reach the cord : )
 

The appliances arrived and are getting installed.
 

The tile surround is in place around the firebox.
 

Doors are being painted.  They are leaned up against scrap cardboard.

I've put in storm doors both in the back and front.  I feel they protect the door as well as provide some protection from heat loss.  In the summer we'll trade out the glass for screens so we can open the doors for ventilation.
